I have upgraded tonnes of skills on the skill menu U but there is no decryption option there? Originally posted by mach3funk :. Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 18 Nov, pm. Posts: 6. Discussions Rules and Guidelines.

Tali has a decryption skill on her level up screen, but how do I get her to hack terminals for me? I'm a good 2 hours into the game and none of my other party members have gotten any talent points yet am I doing something wrong? Meanwhile Shepherd is getting tons. You probably have Auto-level up for your Squad's talents. Just turn it off in the Gameplay options, and then you can put the points into whatever skills you want. A Tali that doesn't have high enough Decryption means that the computer is wasting your points.
JimboRulz 13 years ago 6. Otherwise the Auto-Level won't reach the highest level difficulty. DirtyJ78 13 years ago 7. If that doesn't work then you may be doomed. This is why I always bring a tech character and I always focus on leveling up their Electronics and Decryption skills first.
Aigonroth 8 years ago 3. Unless I am mistaken you should actually be able to turn around, leave go grab Tali or Kaidan, level up either Decryption or Electronics or both on one of them return, deal with the doors, leave again and bring along Ashley and Liara again, and return for a third time.
However I am fairly certain you can complete this entire game without even needing Decryption or Electronics I believe I did it on my first soldier playthrough, mind you that was like 5 years and several dozen playthroughs ago. Ignore my previous rambles, the room you are in has the plasma vent activator, which is the electronics thing, the door leading to the tram lines is locked, and you have no one with decryption.
There should be a console that will let you access Mira, the station VI, talk to her and tell her to open the door, she'll squawk about there being contaminants in the chamber you should just be able to tell her to open the door anyway, actually you might even be able to tell Mira to activate the plasma vents.
Then you get them and they squeal like schoolgirls"- Gianna Parasini, Mass Effect 2. Sigh all this decryption, electronics, and hacking really puts a damper on my Mass Effect experience.
That combined with the tedious micro managing of upgrades, weapons, and forced omni-gel items if your inventory is full is annoying as hell. I've gone backwards playing Mass Effect 3, then 2, now 1. Haven't beaten 1 yet, but really losing interest quite fast. Game design and mechanics show the improvement, but going back previous iterations shows many game design and mechanical flaws.
From tedious to repeat environments I can't get invested in this game. The only thing that is getting me to play this game are the achievements. But then again the achievements are poorly designed as well. Uhhg this game is really frustrating. I might as well skip this and watch the let's play videos only jumping to the core important parts.
It takes to long to get to the main points of the game and often the rest of the game feels like it artificially extends the game length. Most of the areas are empty and barren with no use of the space. I really wanted to enjoy this game, but can't. LordTrinen 8 years ago 5. There's your problem right there. No matter how tempting it may be never play a game series like this out of order.
I agree ME1's gameplay and combat has a lot of flaws in it that are fixed in the later games. Going backwards like this has really screwed you up.
