Offer to Serve as a Discussant A complimentary registration will be available for those who are attending the hybrid conference online not in-person and are only participating as a discussant not otherwise on the program.
Discussants are always needed! Please consider volunteering your expertise to demonstrate your support of your colleagues in the discipline. Professional-level members and submitters may volunteer to be a discussant via the MPSA proposal system. To volunteer, sign in with your MPSA username and password in the proposal system. Faculty are encouraged to offer to serve on roundtables in areas of professional development that focus on the career stages of individuals graduate school, job placement, early-career and mid-career as well as topics that would be of interest to most including publishing, research, and teaching. We hope you will participate in this annual tradition of valuable collaboration, professional development and networking.

Conference Scholarships. I feel privileged to be a member of the Midwest Political Science Association MPSA , whose commitment to advancing the frontiers of research, as well as preparing young researchers remains invaluable. Given its track record, MPSA will offer me the leverage to hone my research skills and connect with scholars across the world.
This will afford me the opportunity to contribute to the discipline of Political Science at a global stage. Proposals should be submitted directly to the appropriate section heads of the Program Committee using the online form. Do not send the same proposal to more than two section heads. Submitting a proposal to two section heads does not increase the chance of having the proposal accepted. If you are offering to serve as a chair or discussant, please indicate your fields of expertise and provide a statement of your interest.
Individuals may participate on no more than three panels, poster, JSS, or lightning talk sessions. Roundtables are exempt from participation limits. The meeting will take place over four days, on a Thursday morning through Sunday afternoon schedule of sessions.
By submitting a proposal, individuals agree to be available to participate in sessions during any of the four days of the conference. Request for specific days or times for participation are not accepted, except for reasons related to religious observance or unusual family circumstances.
